We process personal information only for the purposes described above, consistent with CTDPA § 42-516.

5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS

We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate our business. Each provider receives only the information necessary for their function. We require our service providers to protect personal information consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

Stripe — payment processing. Card data is entered directly into Stripe’s interface and is not transmitted to us.

Resend — transactional email delivery.

Proton Mail — our business email inbox.

We do not share personal information with any other third parties except as required by law (see Section 14).

6. NO SALE OF DATA; NO TARGETED ADVERTISING

7. SENSITIVE DATA

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data as defined under the CTDPA, as amended effective July 1, 2026. Financial information we handle is limited to Stripe transaction reference numbers and order totals; we do not receive or store payment card numbers or bank account information. If we determine that any data we collect qualifies as sensitive under applicable law, we will obtain any required consent before processing it.

8. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

Our website uses Cloudflare’s infrastructure, which may set cookies or collect technical data (including IP addresses) for security, performance, and availability purposes. Google Fonts may transmit your IP address to Google when fonts load on our pages. We do not use advertising cookies, behavioral tracking cookies, or analytics platforms that track individual users across websites. We do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising.

9. MINORS

Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. Information about minors on client websites. Some websites we build, such as family tree and student portfolio sites, may include a minor’s name or photo. That information is provided by the adult client, who confirms they have permission from the minor’s parent or legal guardian to publish it. We collect only what is needed to build the site, we do not sell it, use it for targeted advertising, or use it for profiling, and we do not contact minors directly. A parent or legal guardian may ask us at any time to remove a minor’s information from a website we host or maintain, and we will do so promptly.

10. CONNECTICUT CONSUMER PRIVACY RIGHTS (CTDPA)

Right to Access: You may confirm whether we process your personal data and request a copy of it.

Right to Correction: You may request that we correct inaccurate personal data we hold about you.

Right to Deletion: You may request that we delete personal data we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions.

Right to Data Portability: You may request a copy of your personal data in a portable, readily usable format.

Right to Opt Out: You may opt out of the sale of your personal data, the use of your personal data for targeted advertising, and profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. Because we do not sell data, use data for targeted advertising, or engage in such profiling, these opt-out rights are not currently applicable, but we will honor any opt-out request.

Response Timeline: We will respond to a verified rights request within 45 days. If we need additional time, we will notify you within the initial 45-day period and may extend our response by an additional 45 days.

12. DATA RETENTION

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law.

Information published on a client’s website. Deleting information from our records does not remove it from a client’s live website. Names, photos, and other content published on a client’s website stay on that website as part of the client’s site until the client removes it or asks us to help remove it, or the website is taken down. A person named on a client’s website may also contact us, and we will forward the request to the client or, for a minor, handle it as described in Section 9.

13. SECURITY

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Payment card data is handled exclusively by Stripe and is not stored on our systems. No security measure is perfect; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may disclose personal information if required by a valid court order, subpoena, or applicable law, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to prevent serious harm to a person. Where permitted by law, we will notify the affected individual before disclosing their information in response to a legal request.

15. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND LLM TRAINING

We do not use personal information collected through our website or services to train large language models or other artificial intelligence systems, and we do not sell or license personal information to third parties for that purpose.

16. PROFILING

We do not engage in profiling of individuals that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects concerning those individuals, as described under the CTDPA.

17. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the version number and effective date at the top of this Policy and post the updated Policy on our website.
